Brandon Denio and Mary Demasu-Denio, a couple from “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way,” have faced rumors of
being fired after season 5, but they’ve reportedly devised a plan to stay relevant and continue earning money. Their
journey began on a dating app, connecting Brandon, a 23-year-old from Oregon with a troubled past, and Mary, 23,
from Kendon, who also experienced childhood abandonment. Both had been cheated on in previous relationships,
leading to a deep connection but also severe jealousy and trust issues.
Their relationship was marked by cultural differences and accusations that Mary was using Brandon for money, as he had spent over $60,000 on her before they even met in person. Brandon’s family opposed his decision to move to the Philippines permanently. Despite these challenges, Brandon is still living with Mary in her country, and the couple have been involved in several questionable activities.
Their debut on “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” season 5 was controversial. Their obsession with each other was evident, but so were their trust issues. Mary’s extreme jealousy extended to Brandon interacting with other women in any capacity. After Mary broke her grandparents’ rule against kissing Brandon, she became pregnant. Brandon, however, was not ready for fatherhood, preferring video games over earning money for his family.
Despite marrying, Mary complained about Brandon’s anger issues, revealing that he shouts and uses hurtful words when angry, even calling her a scammer and a “b***h.” Brandon’s mother agreed that the couple needed therapy. Mary was also criticized for her double standards regarding social media behavior.

Off-screen, their behavior has been equally problematic. Photos from their wedding were leaked online early on, and they inadvertently hinted at having a baby. They also faced a $1,098 debt from a failed grocery store venture. Looking for alternative income, they resold phones, sold Filipino snacks and bracelets, and were scrutinized for keeping a pet monkey chained up.
After revealing their baby, they started using her in cameos, which was criticized as exploitative. More seriously, they falsely claimed Mary had colon cancer and started a GoFundMe, which raised suspicions and led Mary to admit she had only had hemorrhoids after experiencing an anxiety attack.
Meanwhile, another “90 Day Fiancé” couple, Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre, faced their own set of challenges. While awaiting their son’s surgery in America, Ariela suspected Biniyam of infidelity. His behavior, including ignoring her calls and socializing with women, raised red flags. Despite attempts at reconciliation, including marriage counseling on “90 Day: The Last Resort,” their relationship appeared to be deteriorating. However, social media clues suggest they may still be together, with Ariela expressing pride in Biniyam’s recent Super Bowl performance.
Back to Brandon and Mary, despite using their baby in videos and receiving criticism, they continued to exploit their family for content. In February 2025, they asked for financial assistance to treat Mary’s grandmother’s TB and pneumonia, claiming their health insurance wasn’t enough.
Their behavior on and off-screen led to speculation that they were fired from the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise, though Mary denied breaking any non-disclosure agreements. Meanwhile, Ariela accused Biniyam of multiple infidelities, which resonated with his history of relationship issues. He had previously been left by his ex-wife Bria, who found him chatting with a former girlfriend. Even in 2025, Ariela and Biniyam continue to grapple with the same trust issues, and Biniyam seems more focused on trivial matters like social media passwords than addressing their core problems.
