Chris McKenna, who plays Jack Brennan, recently shared insights with SOD regarding Brennan’s secrets about Josslyn Jacks (Eden
McCoy) and the potential consequences.
Brennan’s decision to pursue a relationship with Josslyn’s mother, Carly, is a significant risk given the circumstances. His involvement in the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) situation resulted in Josslyn taking extreme action at the cabin. To protect her, Brennan concealed her involvement and instead framed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), adding to his growing list of secrets.
Additionally, Brennan played a key role in recruiting Josslyn to the WSB, requiring her to deceive Carly about her participation in the training program. When asked about his character’s motivations, McKenna acknowledged the complexity of Brennan’s actions, stating, “I don’t know what the hell he’s thinking! Carly is not gonna like this, obviously…Jack is really getting in— well, I hope, not over his head!”
Brennan appears to have a strategic reason for involving Josslyn, believing she possesses unique skills necessary for the WSB’s operations. Despite the risks to his romantic relationship with Carly, Brennan prioritizes what he perceives as the greater good. As McKenna explained, “For the greater good, he has to do what has to be done, even if that means quite possibly risking [his future with Carly] or betraying Carly.”
While the storyline is still unfolding, McKenna anticipates a dramatic climax, hinting at a potential explosive confrontation. Given Carly’s protective nature, viewers can expect a significant fallout once she uncovers Brennan’s deception.
