Niles Valentine’s Age, Job, Instagram, Disability & More

Niles Valentine is the ultimate MVP of Season 7 of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.” For those curious about the
reality TV star, here’s everything to know about him, including his age, profession, and background. Niles began his
reality TV journey in 2024 with the “90 Day Fiancé” spin-off when he decided to fly to Ghana to meet his girlfriend,
Matilda, in person. A few months prior, Niles had proposed to Matilda over a video call, and she had enthusiastically accepted. However, unbeknownst to Matilda, Niles wasn’t prepared to marry her just yet. His intention was to get engaged, return to the U.S., and plan a second trip. Matilda, fearing that Niles might not come back, was eager to have things her way, particularly since Niles’s parents were skeptical about her intentions, believing she might be a scammer.

By the end of the season, Niles and Matilda were indeed a couple, but their journey had not yet led to a “happily ever after.” Matilda was still waiting for her visa approval, which had taken much longer than Niles had anticipated. Initially, he expected Matilda to join him in just five months, but when they filmed the reunion episodes, that timeline had significantly extended. Notably, Niles and Matilda do not have a significant age gap, which is often a point of concern for other couples in their season. The pair initially met through social media, with Matilda boldly messaging Niles out of the blue on Facebook Messenger. She first reached out to him on February 15, suggesting she searched for his name just for fun. Despite being shy, Niles initially thought Matilda wasn’t a real person and struggled to believe that love was possible for him, stemming from past relationships that did not fulfill his emotional needs.

At the time of filming, Niles was 27 years old. According to his LinkedIn profile, he had worked as an Information Technology and Independent Living Specialist at the Center for Independent Living in Mobile from November 2022 to June 2024. This workplace was featured during his interview in Episode 4, where he referred to himself as a peer advocate. He seemed to enjoy a good relationship with his coworkers, always responding to their inquiries with a bright smile. Unfortunately, Niles was fired from his job just before his trip to Ghana, which left him in a precarious financial situation. With only $19 in his bank account, he needed to work part-time as a delivery driver to save enough money for his trip and the wedding expenses. He did not inform Matilda about his job loss or his inability to cover her bride price, ultimately borrowing funds from Mr. Arc, the village elder, who took on the role of Niles’s father during the wedding ceremony.

During the tell-all segment, Niles revealed that he found a job soon after returning to the United States, now working for the state’s mental health department as the Director of Self-Advocacy. He had started this position in September 2024, just before the tell-all was filmed in October, after remaining unemployed for about ten months since his last visit to Matilda in Ghana. Niles was actively saving up the $4,000 required for Matilda’s spousal visa. Unlike many other cast members, Niles doesn’t seem interested in leveraging social media platforms like Instagram or Twitter for income. Previously, he had only one post on Instagram – an awkward selfie from August 2024 – but he recently announced that he had set up a GoFundMe account to raise funds for Matilda’s immigration to the U.S.

Growing up, Niles always recognized that he was different. He faced challenges in school and social situations, which led to his diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. He expressed that it is difficult to convey the emotional and mental pain he experienced to someone considered neurotypical. The condition has impacted his ability to understand social cues, making it challenging for him to maintain typical interpersonal relationships. He noted that he has heightened sensory perception, allowing him to smell things much more acutely than most people.
