Angela Deem, a star of the reality TV show 90-Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, has been making headlines after
expressing her excitement on TikTok over an unexpected gift from her co-star, Colt Johnson, also known as Big Dog.
Angela had married her Nigerian husband, Michael Ilesanmi, in January 2020 and brought him to the United States
in late 2023. However, Michael left Angela’s home in February 2024. Since then, Angela has been trying to heal her broken heart by focusing on things that bring her happiness, such as spending time with her friends and family.
Angela has also publicly endorsed her co-star Colt Johnson, leading fans to speculate if she has a crush on him. In a TikTok video, Angela thanked Big Dog for the gift, a meteor shower, which she described as a “great gift” that “means a lot” to her. The clip showed Angela and Colt on a split screen as he gifted her the meteor shower, which is worth $39.89 according to Sero, a popular TikTok account that sells gifts for live streams.
It’s amazing to see Angela in such a good mood after being bitter towards Michael throughout their 7-year relationship. The two were truly in love when they met, but the aftermath of Michael’s infidelity early in their relationship caused lasting trauma and trust issues. Although Angela forgave Michael for being unfaithful, she was unable to trust him again. The cheating scandal made her controlling and toxic, eventually leading Michael to leave her after using her to come to the United States.
Angela’s recent TikTok video indicates that she’s now in a much happier place than she has been in years. It suggests that she has changed her mindset and now finds joy in little things. Previously, Angela displayed her happiness by celebrating her birthday in Canada, where she invited many people, including co-stars who had traveled a long way to join in the festivities. Notable cast members such as Bam Shyer and Scott Wor from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise were among those who attended Angela’s enjoyable birthday party in Ontario, Canada in December.
Angela’s happiness in the video doesn’t necessarily mean she has forgiven Michael. On the show, Angela threatened Michael with legal action for scamming her and said she would see him in court shortly after Michael asked fans to help him raise money so he could hire a lawyer. Both Angela and Michael haven’t shared much about the progress of their legal battle, and it will be interesting to see if the 90-Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After star can successfully deport Michael back to Nigeria.
