“90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Season 4 featured eight couples, but only one of them remains together as of
2025. The season premiered on February 23, 2020, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and included
some of the show’s most iconic cast members, known for their entertaining antics.
Among the notable couples was Big Ed Brown, a then 56-year-old man from San Diego, who was introduced alongside Rosemary Vega, a single mother from the Philippines. Another couple, Jeffrey Pasel, a single father, traveled to Russia to meet his online girlfriend, Varia Molina, in hopes of formalizing their relationship. David Murphy, a software engineer from Las Vegas, surprised viewers by revealing he had been in a seven-year-long relationship with his girlfriend, Lana, from Ukraine, despite having never spoken on the phone or video chat. Many doubted Lana’s existence, but their skepticism was put to rest when Lana finally met David in Ukraine, and the couple became engaged towards the end of the season. They planned to apply for a K-1 visa to get married in the United States, but in November 2021, Lana announced their split after David described their relationship as complicated. As of her last update, Lana is working as a police investigator in Ukraine. Tragically, David passed away at the age of 66 on December 11, 2024, after experiencing health issues for several years.
Jeffrey and Varia’s relationship has always been tumultuous. While they got engaged on the show, Jeffrey was sentenced to 18 years in prison on February 3, 2022. Despite her significant life changes, Varia is committed to Jeffrey and has no plans to move on; she believes he may be released before serving his full sentence. Meanwhile, she has traveled to various countries and recently celebrated her 36th birthday with her mother in Turkey.
Rose broke up with Big Ed during the season due to his repeated insults. Heartbroken initially, Big Ed swiftly returned to the franchise with Liz Woods, a single mother of one. However, that relationship also failed, culminating in him calling off their wedding just weeks before the ceremony. As for Big Ed, he is currently single and focused on his real estate career in Arkansas, while Rose seems to be enjoying her life as a social media influencer.
Usman “Soja Boy” Umar appeared genuinely in love with Lisa Ham during Season 4, but their marriage in Nigeria revealed significant cultural differences and controlling behaviors, leading to their split. Usman subsequently filed for divorce and moved on with Kim Menz, while Lisa married a man named Tracy Robinson in April 2021. Usman and Kim starred in two subsequent spin-offs of the franchise but ultimately separated due to issues of respect and insecurity.
Avery Warner and Ash Naeck were another attractive couple, but they faced hurdles with trust and the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Although they ended the season positively, they eventually broke up. Avery has since remained single, focusing on raising her daughter, Silver, while hosting her podcast. Ash, following the split, began dating Tina Sardellis, a healing and wellness coach, and they have a daughter together who recently turned one. Ash is also a father to a son from a previous relationship.
Yolanda Ballard, a widow hoping to find love again, faced heartbreak when her online boyfriend, Williams, turned out to be a catfish. After realizing that her relationship was based on deception, she slowly started to move on with her life. In June 2024, Yolanda paid tribute to her late husband, calling him her one true love.
Darcy Silva, a fan favorite, also faced disappointment with Tom Brooks. Their chemistry faded over time, leading to their breakup. Tom married a businesswoman named Mariah Fan in October 2024, and they are still together, while Darcy married Jorgie Rusev in November 2023 but has since been rumored to be single again due to a lack of physical affection in her marriage.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Matto and her partner also faced struggles due to anger issues and have since dated other people but now appear to be single. Interestingly, Stephanie’s recent partners have all been male, suggesting her shift away from dating women. Both 90 Day Fiancé Before the 90 Days stars currently seem to be moving on with their lives, leaving no chance for reconciliation.
