Devon Clay and Jihoon Lee’s son, Tayang, developed cancer shortly after appearing on the reality show “90 Day
Fiancé: The Other Way” Season 2. Fortunately, he is now cancer-free. Devon, who was already a mother of one, first
met Jihoon on an international dating site. Despite the language barrier, the couple quickly fell in love during their
long-distance relationship. They finally met in person when Jihoon briefly visited America to meet Devon, during which they stayed at a love hotel and conceived their son during their first intimate encounter.
On April 11, 2019, Devon and Jihoon welcomed their son, Tayang Skuy Lee. During the events of “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” Season 2, Devon relocated to South Korea with her daughter, Drilla, from a previous relationship, along with baby Tayang. She hoped to start a family with Jihoon, but he was unprepared to take on his responsibilities as a father and husband. Their ongoing fights about financial hardships pushed Devon to her breaking point, ultimately leading her to return to Utah and divorce Jihoon.
Devon’s mother, Elisha Clay, has mentioned that Jihoon is welcome to visit America to see his son whenever he wishes; however, he has yet to do so. Several years after the conclusion of Devon and Jihoon’s story on the show, she shared heartbreaking news about their son’s health. In May 2022, Devon revealed to her followers that Tayang, then three years old, had been diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Despite being portrayed as a villain on the show, Devon received an outpouring of support from fans throughout Tayang’s difficult moments and hospital visits.
In August 2024, Devon joyfully announced that Tayang had beaten cancer. By December 2024, she posted pictures of Tayang and Drilla celebrating the holidays with the Grinch. In these heartwarming images, Tayang appeared more mature, with darker hair and signs of losing his chubby cheeks from infancy, as he grew into a young child. Fans of “90 Day Fiancé” were thrilled to see Tayang participating in the joyful experience after overcoming his tough battle with cancer, with one commenter wishing, “Merry Christmas to you and your family. Glad to see Tayang healthy again.”
After ending her relationship with Jihoon, Devon started dating Topher Park, whom she met during a flight to South Korea. She announced their relationship on Instagram in September 2020, and they welcomed a child together in October 2022. Topher has proven to be a wonderful father figure to both Drilla and Tayang, embracing them as his own children. He recently posted an interesting video with Tayang, showcasing their close bond, and fans of “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” would be pleased to see Tayang has a caring father figure in his life.
