My opinion has shifted, and I now believe that Jasmine Piney used Gino Palaso to achieve her goal of obtaining a
green card and realizing the American dream. Recently, she has become pregnant with Matt’s baby, which has
further fueled my changes in perception. While I was initially a fan of Jasmine Piney after she appeared on “90 Day:
The Last Resort,” I have come to the conclusion that she took advantage of Gino’s trust and love to fulfill her ambitions of becoming an American during their relationship in 2021. Jasmine and Gino’s romance began in a controversial manner, as they met on a sugar baby website, and despite my early doubts about their relationship’s longevity, they surprised me by announcing their engagement by the end of their first season.
Gino submitted a K1 visa application for Jasmine to bring her to the United States, demonstrating his commitment to her. However, as the visa was being processed, their relationship showed several serious warning signs. Jasmine exhibited jealousy and attempted to control Gino’s eating habits, which raised red flags. Despite this, I was initially convinced that their feelings for each other were genuine and felt ecstatic when they eventually tied the knot in June 2023. Unfortunately, my concerns were validated soon after, as they swiftly encountered marital difficulties, with Jasmine accusing Gino of watching pornographic films featuring his ex-girlfriend, causing Gino to withdraw from intimacy.
I still hold a belief that Jasmine and Gino can resolve their differences in the second season of “90 Day: The Last Resort.” Jasmine has regularly expressed her affection for Gino throughout the show, and I have largely accepted her declarations of love. However, upon closer examination of her behaviors, it’s difficult to overlook the potential for manipulation. Jasmine’s initial engagement in the sugar baby lifestyle raised questions about her intentions, especially after she claimed to have fallen in love with Gino only to later accuse him of seeking paid companionship, thereby creating an impression of betrayal.
Jasmine’s repeated requests for financial help from Gino further reinforce my suspicions of her motives. She constantly demanded assistance while also insisting that Gino cover her cosmetic procedures and other living expenses in Panama. I found it troubling that Jasmine used the money Gino provided her for her wedding dress and cosmetic enhancements, which seemed to demonstrate a disregard for the trust he placed in her. Despite Gino’s desire for children during their relationship, Jasmine failed to communicate her own wishes unequivocally, leading to serious misunderstandings about their future together.
It appeared that Jasmine was maintaining her autonomy by secretly taking birth control pills, which Gino remained unaware of, potentially denying him the opportunity to fulfill his aspirations of fatherhood. Jasmine’s public comparisons of Michigan to a “frozen hell” and her frequent threats to return to Panama seemed like tactic to manipulate Gino emotionally, feeding her control over him until he became desensitized to her claims. I believe she leveraged this psychological strategy to ensure she could maintain her lifestyle in the United States for as long as possible.
Jasmine’s decision to stay in the U.S. after Gino’s rejection while claiming to be a devoted mother raised further questions about her commitment to family. Instead of returning to be with her children, she became pregnant by Matt Branny, a man she met at the gym, which is an indication that her initial claims of being unable to survive without her sons might have been misleading. Jasmine’s actions suggest that her primary ambition was to secure a foothold in the U.S. rather than genuinely prioritize her children.
From my perspective, Jasmine has consistently demonstrated manipulative behavior throughout her relationship with Gino, attempting to undermine his dignity rather than building a nurturing partnership. She leveled accusations against him regarding his past and, at times, her own infidelities further damaged their relationship, causing him substantial emotional pain. This all indicates to me that Jasmine was never truly in love with Gino; instead, she was searching for a relationship that could provide her with financial security and support.
Jasmine’s pregnancy and her behavior throughout their relationship further support my belief that she has not prioritized Gino’s needs or feelings. Instead of investing time in healing from her previous marriage, she appeared to place a greater emphasis on immediate gratification and intimacy with a new partner. If Jasmine truly loved Gino, she would have put more effort into salvaging their relationship instead of jumping into a new romance so quickly after their split. It’s my conviction that she rushed into motherhood with someone else without giving herself the time to recover from her marriage’s collapse.
