Chris Combs has become a fan favorite on “1000-lb Sisters” since his television debut in 2020. While the show
primarily focuses on his younger sisters, Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton, Chris’s weight loss journey has made him a
significant part of the narrative.
Inspired by his sisters, Chris embarked on his own weight loss journey. In season six, he was preparing for skin removal surgery. The show has restructured to accommodate Tammy and Amy, further highlighting Chris’s importance to the show.

Chris once weighed over 450 pounds. After undergoing bariatric surgery in 2022, he lost 150 pounds and weighed 300 pounds at his weigh-in in March 2024. His doctor, Dr. Eric Smith, shared an impressive before-and-after photo on Instagram, showcasing Chris’s transformation, including completing a 5K run. During season six, Chris weighed 299 pounds, a one-pound loss since his last weigh-in, but overall, he has lost an incredible 150 pounds.
Like his siblings, Chris desired skin removal surgery to address excess skin from his rapid weight loss. Initially, he was disheartened when his doctor advised him to lose another 60 pounds first, but he persevered. Chris started with skin removal around his stomach, with plans to consider his chest area later. His skin removal surgery took place during season six, but the results remain undisclosed.
Chris also has drama with Tammy. When Tammy needed housing, Chris and his wife, Britney, rented her the house next door, which they had originally intended to renovate and rent out. With Tammy living so close, viewers can anticipate plenty of drama in season seven. Seasons one through six of “1000-lb Sisters” are available for streaming on Discovery Plus.
