General Hospital spoilers gossip Steven Webber (Scott Reeves) is coming back to Port Charles for an undetermined

amount of time, and his visit coincides perfectly with his mother’s release from prison.

Heather Webber (Alley Mills) being released from prison with her sentence vacated is going to upend all of Port Charles, but everyone’s disdain with and fear of Heather won’t compare to how her son feels about her.

Steven nearly lost his former fiance — Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) — when Heather poisoned her. His loyalty to his mom almost pushed him over the edge. Now, the time he has spent in prison himself has made him wonder how much he may be just like his mom.

Did the apple not fall far enough from the tree? Has his time paying for the murder he committed made him see his mom in a different light?

Heather and Steven are going to have some awfully interesting parallels to work through in the weeks ahead. We don’t know how long he will stick around Port Charles — or how long she will for that matter — but we know they’re bound to have some significant conversations that drudge up some painful memories from the past.

Heather has been released due to her sentence being vacated based on the fact that she was under the influence of cobalt poisoning when she committed the crimes she was punished for.

Steven, on the other hand, merely finished serving his sentence for murdering a patient years ago. Now, they both have to contend with coming back to face their demons, their enemies, and their family. Will they lean on each other to get through it?

GH Spoilers Leak Heather and Steven Are Ready to Make Amends

While it’s unknown whether Steven will be able to move past the egregious moves his mom made against him in the past, we have a feeling these two might be more willing to see eye to eye these days than ever before.

Heather’s demeanor has convinced a lot of people already — some who were entirely against her — that she really is a changed woman since her hip implant was replaced and the cobalt levels in her blood decreased as a result.

Who is Steven — a doctor — to argue with science? Moreover, his own perception of her may convince him as well that she has recovered and never meant to harm those people. But does that mean she never meant to harm him?

General Hospital Spoilers — Forgive But Don’t Forget?

Still, Steven could have a hard time overlooking the many mistakes his mother has made in the past. Is it even fair to claim they were all mistakes? They didn’t all occur when she was under the spell of cobalt poisoning either.

She tried to cause Olivia Falconeri’s (Lisa LoCicero) death when Steven was poised to marry the woman. She gave her son away as a child to another woman to raise, only to come rip him out of her arms later on and force him out of the stable home he was in.

Can Steven overlook his mother’s many flaws and give her a second chance the same way he’s hoping others will give him one?
