Is This 90 Day Fiancé Couple REALLY Asking for Help… Or Is It Another Scam?

A 90-day Fiancé couple, Brandon and Mary Denio, is making headlines for all the wrong reasons once again. The

couple, who have previously been accused of deceiving fans and scamming them, is now asking for donations for a

medical emergency. However, this may not be a genuine plea for help, but rather another attempt to take advantage

of their loyal fans.

It’s not uncommon for cast members of the 90-day Fiancé franchise to seek financial assistance from fans, even those who appear to be financially stable. For instance, Michael Jolly raised over $52,000 through GoFundMe after allegedly fleeing an abusive relationship, and Josh Weinstein sought donations after his son lost his leg in an accident. However, this can also lead to fans being taken advantage of.

Recently, an Instagram account 90-day Fiancé Alexa drew attention to Brandon and Mary’s latest fundraising campaign. The couple posted a Facebook update on their Denio Fam Vlog page, explaining that Mary’s grandfather, affectionately called Lola, had been hospitalized with tuberculosis and pneumonia. They claimed that despite having health insurance, it did not cover much of the medical expenses, leaving them struggling to pay the bills.

Mary expressed gratitude to those willing to help and included a “co-i donation link” in the post. However, by the time the post gained attention, Brandon and Mary had already received 157 donations. Some fans remained skeptical, with commenters like Kieran Whitmore stating, “Unfortunately they lost credibility a long time ago… while still wishing Lola a speedy recovery.”

This is not the first time Brandon and Mary have reached out to 90-day Fiancé fans with a questionable plea for help. In February 2024, they made headlines after announcing that Mary had been diagnosed with cancer. They launched a fundraising campaign, asking fans to help cover the costs of surgery. However, fans quickly grew suspicious of Mary’s claims, and she eventually admitted that she did not have cancer and had made a mistake.

Mary explained that she had posted about having colon cancer impulsively during an anxiety attack and later clarified that she was actually suffering from an inflamed liver, a blood infection, a UTI, and hemorrhoids. Now, as Mary and Brandon ask for financial assistance once again, this time for her grandfather’s medical bills, many viewers remain skeptical, seeing it as a case of crying wolf.
