Michael, from Samy’s American Dream, is a star on the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After season. His journey with
his wife Angela is still in progress, but he remains optimistic despite the uncertainty surrounding his immigration
status. According to Angela, their situation may lead to Michael being deported, but he is staying positive and
hopeful about his future in the US.
Michael and Angela tied the knot in January 2020, four years after he first arrived in the US. They initially appeared on Before the 90 Days in 2017, and despite Angela’s initial doubts about Michael’s intentions, they chose to stay together. Angela questioned whether Michael was using her for a green card, and she had reason to believe that he had lied to her and cheated on her on multiple occasions. However, she continued to give him second chances.
Their relationship took another twist when Angela discovered that Michael had planned his disappearance from her home, just two months after his US arrival. Michael fled to Texas and started a new life, boasting about his new family. When he was initially discovered missing, he refused to reveal his new location, opting to keep it a secret from Angela.
In a dramatic escape, Michael walked for about 5 hours from Hazelhurst and almost got bitten by a dog before he found help from a kind-hearted man who let him use his phone. He managed to contact his friends and find a bus stop that led him to his undisclosed location. When he approached the police to confirm that he was not missing, he specifically asked them not to inform Angela about his new residence.
Michael has since become more confident in discussing his whereabouts, and it is revealed that he now lives in Houston, Texas. He has even been documenting his life on YouTube, recently sharing his experience of a rare winter storm that hit the southern US states, including Texas, Florida, and Louisiana. He was thrilled to try making EBA for breakfast and enjoyed it with some okro soup while admiring the snow outside his apartment.
Michael has now experienced snow in America twice, first in New York during the AA Tell-All filming in 2024. However, if Angela is successful in her efforts to deport him, he may not get to experience snow in December this year. Despite this uncertainty, Michael remains hopeful about his chances of staying in the US and has even made a living through content creation. Although he hasn’t confirmed whether he will return for another season of the show, he seems comfortable in his new life in Houston and believes he won’t be returning to Nigeria anytime soon.
