Niles Valentine is the ultimate MVP of Season 7 in the 90-day fiance reality TV show “Before the 90 days”. The show

premiered in 2024 and followed Niles’ journey as he decided to fly to Ghana to meet his girlfriend, Matilda, in

person. Despite having proposed to Matilda on a video call a few months prior, Niles had other plans. He wanted to

get engaged and come back for a second time, but Matilda was not having it. She feared that Niles would never return, possibly due to his parents’ skepticism about her intentions, which they believed might be scams.

Despite the challenges they faced, Niles and Matilda are a loving couple, and their relationship is built on mutual respect and trust. When they first met, Matilda was 20 years old and bold enough to message Niles on Facebook Messenger. She even approached him out of the blue with a simple “Hi Valentine” message on February 15. Niles, on the other hand, was shy and initially thought that Matilda wasn’t a real person. However, their online friendship grew into a two-year-long relationship before Niles decided to fly to Ghana to meet her in person. Interestingly, Niles had not thought love was possible for him, despite having a past girlfriend who only desired intimacy from him.

Niles and Matilda do not have a significant age gap compared to other couples in their season. According to his LinkedIn profile, Niles is 27 years old and currently working as an information technology and independent living specialist at the Center for Independent Living of Mobile. He referred to himself as a “peer advocate” when discussing his job on camera. Niles’ co-workers agreed to be part of the show, and he got along fine with them, often responding with a big smile on his face. However, Niles was fired from his job right before he flew to Ghana due to insufficient savings, and he eventually ended up working part-time as a delivery driver to collect money for the trip.

During their time on the show, Niles struggled financially and had to borrow money from Mr. Arc, the Village Elder, to cover the cost of Matilda’s bride price. He had only $19 in his bank account at the time. Niles also revealed that he found a new job after returning to America, working with the state for the mental health department. He was appointed as the director of self-advocacy at the organization in September 2024, which is impressive considering the tell-all was filmed in October of the same year.

Interestingly, Niles has not explored the typical income streams that 90-day fiancé cast members take advantage of, such as social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube, or Cameo fan basis. However, he has recently announced that he is setting up a GoFundMe account to raise funds for Matilda to come to America. Niles is open about his struggles with autism spectrum disorder, which affects his ability to grasp social nuances and leads to difficulties in building normal relationships with people. He believes it’s hard to describe the pain and difficulties that come with being neurotypical. Additionally, Niles has heightened senses and can even smell almost everything, which can be overwhelming at times.

In recent updates, Niles has posted on Instagram, sharing his experiences and struggles as an individual with autism. He has also revealed plans to set up a GoFundMe account to aid Matilda’s move to America once her spousal visa is approved. Despite the challenges they have faced, Niles and Matilda seem to be working towards a happily ever after, with Niles saving up the necessary $4,000 for Matilda’s spousal visa.
