The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest the week of March 24-28 will offer some explosive moments in the land of Genoa City.
The soap’s preview just dropped, and it looks like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will struggle in the aftermath of her kidnapping.
It also seems as if she’ll lean on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for support. Will Phyllis’ mental health issues be the very thing that locks the Philly reunion?
Billy Abbott Has A Pattern
One of Billy’s stronger qualities is his advocacy of mental health issues and breaking the stigma of these conditions.
Fans have seen him help his sister, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) with her dissociative identity disorder (DID), and he has also admitted to struggling with the same condition in the past.
Billy was also by Connor Newman’s (Juday Mackey) side while the young boy was dealing with his obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); not only as a way to help him, but his girlfriend at the time, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
With that said, fans may recall that the very reason Billy and Chelsea hooked up was because he “saved” her from un-aliving herself. Chelsea was dealing with depression in 2022 and almost did the unthinkable, until Billy stopped her.
The entire incident, and Billy’s commitment to helping Chelsea with her mental health, bonded the two. They slowly, but surely, turned their friendship into romance.
Will Lightening Strike Twice?
Phyllis is dealing with some trauma, and Billy will likely support her, in every way possible. But will the two find romance in the process? There’s a very good chance that spending more time together could secure a romantic reunion.
Billy sizzled with Phyllis back when the character was played by actress Gina Tognoni, so will fans see those same sparks if Philly dives into the sheets, with Michelle Stafford now as Phyllis? Only time will tell!
